As you know, the Theatre Guild of Guyana is the Caribbean’s oldest theatre. We are a not for profit space run by volunteers. The Guild is the only space of its kind in Guyana in which young artiste from the tender age of four 4 to the golden years of 75 can find kindred spirits who nurture, support, develop and expose their talents. It is now 6 years since we reopened our doors in July 2008. In the past 5 years we have focused on finding our feet and building our membership. In the next 5 years we are now focusing on re-visioning the theatre and burnishing its quality to ensure that it meets the training and production needs of Guyana while becoming self sustaining.

We continue to provide a space for amateur productions and artists and fledgling organizations to work in and develop their craft in a purpose build facility.
As a non for profit organization, our teaching programmes are completely funded from donations, memberships and rental of the Theatre’s facilities and fees. Therefore, we hope that you will see the benefits of supporting the Guild through purchasing a Corporate Membership again this year.
